    Good

The hotel was just re-opening after an extended closure. The staff were new and still learning. They were busy learning their new jobs but did take the time to be helpful to me. My complimentary dinner that was a staff training exercise was a pleasant surprise.

The hotel had no wi-fi connectivity at the time of my stay which woul dhvae been very helpful to me.

    Fabulous

Friendly staff, Kippers for breakfast , wonderful.

You need to find staff for check in and breakfast during quiet spells , but once you find anyone they will quickly get the right person for you. Car park is a public carpark with no security.

    Very good

Thsi hotel was a big surprise...and a very good one. Nice room , but the shower is a very high pression one and finding the hair dryer is a real treasure hunt. Anyway very nice rehabilitation of a workshop of the last shipyard ( closed in the late 80's ) . We stay on saturday and the pub on the first floor was typical british saturday's night. A lot of fun , good food (mix grill) but the local beer, the "spitfire", is definitively alien to continental taste. Any Scandinavian beer (lowest grade in the continent...) will flame down that Spitfire at the first shot ( not to say the Belgian Beer...) ! ok I'm french so not the best beer expert in town....

    Superb

    Nice location, special interior theme

    Exceptional

A really good highly original conversion of an historic industrial building in an ideal location for the historic Chatham Dockyard

Single beds too short for a not particularly tall person. Extractor fan rather too noisy for those with rooms on the dock side. But these are minor criticisms compared with the overall excellent impression of the hotel.

    Exceptional

Suited our needs for a Family History group weekend. We slept well and comfortably. Interesting view from our room. We were not aware of any outside noises to disturb our sleep. This had been mentioned by a couple of members of our group who had decided not to stay because of what they read on a website (not known). Food was as expected for the type of place and service good for a large group. Well situated for our Dockyard tour and activities in Rochester. The bar appears to be very popular with young people and the restaurant was situated away upstairs from any noise from that. We were very satisfied. B.E.

    Very good

Very friendly & helpful staff, comfortable rooms, great towels, good location.Excellent breakfast.

Room could have been a little cleaner, dust on bedside lamps and skirting boards, hair on bathroom floor but overall OK. As room is overlooked by apartments some people may prefer a curtain on bathroom window (not one in room 6). Food OKish pub style however breakfast excellent.
